We are so dumbfounded by this coin that we start thinking it's something that it's not, even though we already know what it is! Listen to the shock and awe in our voices... just simply amazing.

  • I don't get why people need to say it is planted or fake? I mean I do, people are shit heads but still.... Cool find.

  • @zekehooper - They're jealous... they never found one. Hell I'm jealous and I may NEVER find one. I probably scanned over it too and it was masked out on my machine!! You can obviously tell we are delirious about it.. we're calling it a Barber dollar... when it's a Morgan dollar. We knew that, just couldn't even think at the time.

  • planted site

  • @edmm976 - I would agree that it wasn't dropped in 1921... but this is a private property baseball field, that dates back to the 30's. A lot of the ground is clay. My dad definitely dug it up there. End of story.

  • Finally, people who know how to treat a coin properly once it's out of the ground.

  • @iharten - Thanks, we sure try to take extra care, even if that means less finds per hunt.

  • @1969captainron (Kid) is me... 34year old father of two. We all play around and pretend that squashed gold wine screw tops are gold coins... but this is no joke. I'm pretty sure it wasn't dropped back in 1920's, based on the depth. It was probably a good luck coin that came out of someone's pocket while they were watching a baseball game... this is right along the side line of a baseball field. Still though, wasn't a surface find so it counts!

  • @edmm976 --Yeah, go cry somewhere else,

I know that 21-s Morgan dollar was dug legit, cuz this is the Dude that dug it. Heck, what fun would it be to

cheat? Half the fun is the research, the other half when it pays off. Peace out & HH! Dad

  • @MUDSWAT -- It was a solid signal as you can see at the end of the vid.-- We put it back in the plug the same way it was to rescan it again with both machines. Singe bar on the sig. scale and pretty steady at +92

  • @Trainseeker34 --Not my first silver by any means,, heck, nobody's that lucky.. :)

  • @jerryt817 -- At the time I was running in Correlate mode. AC Sens-82--Preamp-3

  • @pskate4life Don't get your 1921 Peace dollars mixed with your Morgans.
