Clint, Sister, rtden and tarquin----you're ALL correct! I have talked to this man on the phone! I called a number to get this album and ended up talking to The Man himself! I told him to NEVER stop singing this song! Joe Barry did a "Swamp" version of this, if you want to compare! Cheers

There is no bigger fan of Marty Robbins than I am, but I think Rex Jr tops Marty's version and if anyone can do a song better than Marty it's praise indeed.

Love this song, Been a Rex Allen Jr. fan siince 1974. He had one of the best voices for singing those old Cowboy Western songs
