Well, it's still nerve-tingling to imagine that this happened at the same placed that I jumped :P.
But I know that this it was by no means the intructor's fault, I had a great time jumping there and I'd suggest it to anyone.

@Catapultandclingfilm 180mph could not explode but seriously damage the canopy. (i'm rigger and tandem instructor)

@jukklore dorgue are made to freefall at 120 mph and make the opening mora comfy. No drogue jumps is part of the exam for tandem instructor. It's possible to 100% manuever without drogue. It exam you jump without drogue, then deploy the drogue to slow you down 2000 feet before opening altitude .

@wisefelipe this is not an accident, this is a mal function. Accident is when people get hurt. In this situation, Tandem instructor learn what to do. So cameraman have to go away because he have to deploy his reserve and cameraman might get caught by the reserve then cause 3 fatality. So as a tandem instructor, i teach cameraman to let me do my job. have safe jumps

I can't get why cameramen is an idiot. In this situation TI couldn't get rid of drogue without an assistance. Or you know somebody, who did it? I have seen at least two cameramen who saved tandem in a situation like this, and one fatal accident, when cameraman stayed away.
