Storm chasers Dick McGowan, Darin Brunin and Jordan Wrecke of TornadoLive.com had two very close encounters with the devastating, rain-wrapped Kirksville, Missouri tornado on May 13, 2009. Large pieces of debris falling from the sky made their escape from the main circulation extremely dangerous!

  • Back up, back up, back up, NO NO NO NO NO DRIVE STRAIGHT DRIVE STRAIGHT GO GO GO!!!

  • 'We're getting hit with debris!!!' No shit? Dude, it's a tornado. You're gonna get hit with stuff...

  • Why is it almost every tornado video I see traffic continues to drive towards the tornado? Thumbs up if you don't understand this foolishness....

  • TOO CLOSE FOR MY COMFORT GUYS! HATS OFF!

  • So these guys were the jerks blocking the road from those other storm chasers in another video who wanted to get the hell out of there. Way to go you almost got them killed because of your indecisiveness. That was pretty dumb, that was a dangerous tornado, and had it been larger than what it was we would have had tons of dead storm chasers, instead of their videos.

  • Sounds like the one guy was about to have a heart attack. I chase storms too, but man, getting that close to a rain wrapped tornado, not very comfortable at all. Especially in a regular vehicle, at least that's what it appeared to me. Too many trees to get that close. Save that for the plains if you want to get that close. I get pretty close myself, but only if the trees are off at a distance. Debris is too scary, especially if it's in the form of big logs.

  • @113000816 You kow, you're right..I noticed that too...that's probably why they were screaming lol

  • @08Aniyah when i watch it, it looks that the tornado is lifting them up at the end
