MMP Track Days 2008

2008 NESBA Track Days weekend. Two days aboard a 2005 Yamaha YZF R1 on Miller Motorsports Park full course. 24 corners, 28 apexes around a 4 1/2 mile circuit. Top speed aboard R1 around 168 mph indicated, not factoring speedo error. Amateurs like me take corner 1, aka Sunset Bend, around 100 mph dragging a knee. Go to a track. You don't know what you're missing!

Thanks for commenting! Corner 1 at Milller is fast and has a lot of camber so you can enter the turn at around 100mph. There was an AMA pro there when we were riding who was entering # 1 at about 130, made everyone else look slow! The good riders told me to just add a couple miles an hour every time you feel confident entering a corner and in a day you'll be flying compared to when you started. It worked for me.
