We are on the Western Maryland Scenic in the earlier years when the Canadian Pacific G5 4-8-2 Pacific's hauled the trains up the stiff mountain grades on the former Western Maryland RWY. We stand at Helmsteaders curve as we watch the high steppin Pacific blast by. The second clip is in the heavest part of the grade before Frostburg. There, the locomotive will be turned on the turntable for the trip back to Cumberland. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294.5...

  • Jack Showalter used to own the Allegheny Central near Covington Va, He ran this thing up to Vails Ford on the Hot Springs branch of C&O on the Jackson river.

that was in 1981 When I rode it there. Then He sent this thing up on the Shenandoah Valley RR near Stuanton Va ???? where is she today?

  • @MrHadley2011 Is there any plans of running again? I heard that it hasn't run in years...

There is a SOO LINE 4-6-2 pacific sitting in the town of Gladstone, in Michigan's upper peninsula, and I'v alway's wondered what it would have looked, and sounded like, when it was working.
