ULTRAVOX !

@FreedomRover LOL! Do you really think you're the only one that knows Italian? The bottom line is this: Both John Foxx and Midge Ure are of equal talent but are radically different. They can't be compared, but neither one is any more or less talented than the other. Foxx era and Ure era are two completely different animals. The insane and unconditional worship of John Foxx puts people off. Midge Ure's stint int he band wasn't as mainstream as people seem to think.

very nice and conspicuous. the best ultravox song in my opinion

Superb video of a superb song I remember so well.............Well Done!!
-
@kemicon And he was in the Rich Kids, cant argue with either!

Seen Ultravox! many times with (The Foxx) far better than the Ultravox of the 80's. when John Foxx left it was like a death in the band and they should of done the decent thing and changed the name. We all know New Order are the remnents of the fantastic Joy Division but we respect them for the respect they showed to the end of something so good. i think thats why i cant take on the post Foxx Ultravox..............

The Vienna album has its moments (Western Promise, New Europeans,Mr X) but it was well and truly downhill after that.

I love Ultravox, John Foxx, post-John, pre-Midge, ALL of it. Is that allowed?
-
@skod41 are you kidding?! after Foxx left this band sucked big time

ACAB
Jon Foxx was a better lyricist, period. I don't care whether or not he got famous with them. That is not the point. Perhaps he was too controversial for mainstream taste (listen to "Fear in the Western World" for instance from Ha Ha Ha). Anyway, with or without Ultravox he became a more complex artist, professor (why not?),etc. Being famous is not the goal of a true musician (although the pay may be nice); it is the doing the art to satisfy oneself first and if anyone else likes it, great!
