Here's a bunch of people demonstrating peacefully in the streets of Copenhagen on their way to demonstrate in front of Bella Center where the worlds politicians are currently discussing what to do about the climate on this planet.

Oil men are afraid of new technologies because after the initial investment for solar, wind and hydro, the energy costs are very low. So long as sun shines, wind blows and the tidal and wave energy has enormous potential. Huge vested interests don't want us to have clean energy. It isn't just cleaner, it's cheaper. The initial conversion to clean infrastructure would create thousands of jobs and whole industries which we could export to developing countries.

A solution: Massive investment into every home possible of ground source heating, thermal water heating, photo-voltaic, hydro and wind power electricity production. Vested interests in oil and other dirty fuels will have to be faced down. The money they lose will be gained by the people on lower fuel costs. That money will still be circulating in the economy in the form of greater spendign power of the people. Of course the oil men will have to find another way to earn a living. No big deal.

no matter if climate change is a 'farce' or not, it is completely evident that we are living at odds with the ways of the earth. massive deforestation, loss of biodiversity, soil erosion, etc all due to overexploitation and global consumerism. to sustain our current rate of consumption we will need 5 more planet earths. solution: decentralized, self-sufficient farm communities. take action. prepare for post-industrialism.
