The movie you are most likely thinking about that Tarantino talks about is the 1960 movie À Bout de Souffle (Breathless) directed by Jean-Luc Godard, which is a masterpiece of the film world, watching this I just felt embarrassed the whole time. It's a shame someone allowed this to be remade.
