Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland,
Der Jungfrauen Kind erkannt!
Dass sich wundre alle Welt,
Gott solch' Geburt ihm bestellt.

Now come, Saviour of the gentiles,
recognised as the child of the Virgin,
so that all the world is amazed
God ordained such a birth for him.

According to my little booklet, BWV 61 was written in 1714, and BWV 62 in 1724. Based on same hymn.

    Master pray with pity view

all the warmth of our affection.

    Lets our thanks,in love abounding,

In Thy gracious ears be sounding,

    Make us in abundance thrive,

    Never may the Friend contrive

    To reduce us to subjection.

Bach doesn't like this video... He's so perfectionist and demanding. :)

Bach will probably outlive us all and remain standing after all the mountains, volcanoes, cities and nations have gone the way of dust...

This is one of my favorite Bach cantatas. I read somewhere that BWV 61 is more famous, but I preffer BWV 62.
