Same conditions, one guitar, one preamp, one combo, 5 pickups: DiMarzio AT-1, Gibson 498T, Gibson '57 Classic plus, EMG Select, Seymour Duncan TB-4. Listen to the sound carefully to hear the difference;)

  • Guy!! It's a Great Video!! Really good comparison! Help me!

    I have a Epiphone SG G400, and a bought a Gibson 490R pick up.

What other pick up I could put with the 490R? I like to play Hard rock like Guns, Led, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi 80s, and really like Blues and Hard Blues as Gary Moore, Steve Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton...

  • @FabioFarpas The answer is obvious:) Gibson 498T:) Just the one you need!

  • Dude, well freaking done. This must have taken ages to do. Thanks a lot for the video! This helps me out a lot!

  • @sometimesjames You are welcome! I wish I could play and record this better, but anyway it gives some ideas on pickups tone. I've just recorded another one shootout tb-4 va tb-5 vs 498T low-tunning comparison, I've got to edit it and then I will release it.

  • what are the last two riffs from? one starts at 6:06 and the other at 3:16

  • @dmcgurk13 3:16 - it's Blink-182 - Mutt and 6:06 - The Offspring - Feelings

  • Great video. Very useful!

  • Seymour Duncan sounds the best to me. Gibson 57 was ok, but kinda muddy (almost like a neck pickup). The rest is shit.

  • @naruto10000000000 It's 'Can't Stop' by Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • what's the song at 2:24? awesome comparison, I like the crunchy and more treble sound of the dimarzio.
