  • I dont know what to get either this Novation Impulse 61 key or the Arturia Analog Experience 61 key yet the Novation has the 8 drum pads i still dont know But does the Nova have the sound ability of the Arturia.. help is much needed!

  • @yourit311 the Impulse is more of an integrated controller for Live, so if you want those features (launching clips, playing beats, controlling the mixer), as well as the awesome onboard arpeggiator, then Impulse is the one! However, the Arturia is a synth, so if you're more interested in getting a new instrument and extra sounds, at the expense of the extra controlling capabilities, then go for the Arturia...

  • Does the Automap Server means, that I first have to set up everything with Automap and that Automap always has to be on? I would like a Keyboard in that price range but I don't like that Automap "feature".

  • @DeltaBeatzNr1 what software do you use? By large, Automap makes everything easier, certainly for controlling your plug-ins! It just doesn't add much to this keyboard, particularly with software like Live. No, the server doesn't have to be running all of the time, with Live that is. It launches when you first boot up to tell you how everything works but then you can ignore it after that..... just so we're clear, this is a great keyboard! check the impulse demo on my channel if you haven't...

  • @RobProducertech Hey thank you very much for your response! I am using FL Studio 10 and I am searching for a Keyboard in this price range. The Impulse seams great but I am worried that it could have compability problems on FL Studio.

  • @DeltaBeatzNr1 No worries. I'm not actually sure about FL Studio although I'm sure there is some support. That may be a question for Novation's tech support... I know all the main DAWs are supported so it is likely. Plus, all their other controllers support FL Studio in some way, if not with Automap.

  • @RobProducertech Thank you so much.. either way I beleive both of these are winners..But yea for more control mk2 would be the way to go

  • @onraj9mm not useless but not as extensive as with their other controllers, and not that different from the built-in plug control in some DAWs. They are improving it in the next update (coming this month I believe) to enable you to press one button and switch between Automap's control of plugs and DAW control though. It sounds like you should probably go for an SL MKII if you want to control that many parameters of your plugs...
