What day hawk said as far as the army. but all of Sikorsky Blackhawks you need to watch for the droops. Wouldn't want one to stick during shutdown thats cause for a bad day.

The crewchiefs call the droops ( make sure they are out) then they come in and call the droops in on shutdown so we can shut down both engines.

We do in our Aussie Black Hawks... But we have rotor brake, so after starting both engines we release the brake the rotor spins up a lot faster... we watch the droops are out by 75% RPMR.. before we go to flat pitch. Then droops in by 50% on shutdown, whilst setting 3-4cm of collective pitch. LOVE THE HAWKS!!!!!

Pave Hawk CC here. Do they have you guys in Army watch for droop stops out when starting up and stops in when shutting down, or is it pretty much start & go with you guys? Just wondering.
