Joe's 2005 Ford GT was the first ever car to be successfully twin turbocharged, making over 1000 whp on a completely OEM, stock & original engine + fuel system. Watch as a team of collaborators design, fabricate, assemble and tune one of the fastest, most reliable street cars with virtually no "Modded Ford GT" history available to them. Video is the original IMV Films' production from September 2006.

  • Hey IMVfilms, Do you know what type of tuning setup is being used to tune-control this monster? (flash/ chip/ piggyback/ standalone?)

And is he still using a MAF setup?

  • @cobra96svt570 All SCT stuff, as seen in the video. He has an SCT Big Air MAF sensor also.

  • I'm pretty sure I saw your gas gauge move when you were hitting 160

  • More on joes cr!

  • @cbeck611 Basically, you'll make a lot more power with a lot less in a v8 engine. And I see your point with the ford gt (since it still cost over 100K), but look at all the 9-10 second mustangs that didn't need 75K to be that fast.

  • @cbeck611 Yeah, and how much parts are you going to have to replace to make that much power? Pretty much everything, twin turbo charging a ford gt, is like twin turbo charging a mustang, the mod doesn't cost that much, and the extra displacement size is going to make much larger gains, while handling the boost and extra power reliably. v6 engines do a pretty good job, but it will strain under the stress of having over 1000hp. It's not preference, it's physics.

  • @man36021 what are you talking about 2jzgte engines are extremely reliable even when they are heavily modded a 1500hp package installed on a 30k supra would only cost 75k how much are ford gt's with out a turbo kit

  • @baxter7789 Hahaa yeah hes that douchebag who does car impressions and hustles people for their shit. He drove a turbo cobra then a supra. He would get spanked.

  • @cbeck611 Dude, you'll spend more money by just modifying that supra, and it won't be as reliable for obvious reasons. Come on, that's common knowledge, the supra's just a commuter, built to be fairly fun to drive, but not to be a serious racer.

  • Dear Santa....

  • @object2502

If you dont know who that is then stfu.

    He was obviously joking around.

  • "Boy can't touch my busa boy" What a complete fucking idiot. Kid's a walking brain tumor. Lots of those in Dallas.
