Ever tried eating something you weren't too sure what it was? I've decided to have a little experiment of foreign culture. I have no idea where these snacks -specifically- come from (so that's why I used the general term of "Asian").
Dont let the Pocky's colour fool you (the black box on the left). The green is not mint... when you dont expect the green tea flavor mix with pretzel sticks, it kind of freaks you out XD

Mochis are fun to eat (green box in the back). They make me think of uncooked donuts. I can't get over the texture.

And the funniest part of this whole thing was to read the list of ingredients. I didn't know rice cakes(not on this picture) contained "shrinkage" as an ingredient LOL!!!! (probably bad translation for shortening)

I once went to a japanese restaurant and made the mistake of ordering a green tea ice cream in the end... it was a bit like eating a salad (with the earth and all) right off a blanket of delicious snow....i must say, like all teas, it had an acquired taste only at the end (right before i nearly puked - lol just kidding, it wasn't THAT bad, but if you've ever eaten frozen peas you get the idea, yet peas are actually sweet....)
