Hey, I think it's great that Love is still out there doing old BB songs... but he should take a page from Brian Wilson and Al Jardine and go out without using the name. One original member doesn't a band make. As for Johnson--it's kind of a myth that he was "doing Brian's melodies." Listen to post '65 BB recordings, and almost all of Brian's major parts were done by Carl Wilson and Al Jardine, not Johnson. Johnson just covered for their parts when they were doing Brian's parts.

you can´t get much more Beach Boys than the lead singer Mike Love and well Bruce Johnston was on tour doing Brian´s melodies in the 60´s (and after) more than Brian was. I appreciate the Mike Love ´money machine´ as you call it. The guy is in his seventies and is still on tour. Wow. A lot of Love there, no pun intended. Buy the way the Beach Boys did this concert for free as well as a tour dedicated to the armed forces. I salute them.
