Today in Boston there was panic in the streets. Bomb squads were finding electronic packages attached to the bases of bridges. These had a mocking character with its middle finger presented for all to see. The police BLEW ONE UP.
A few hours later they realized that the packages were none other than Mooninites! The pixelated guys from Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon network. Hilarity Ensued!

This was part of a nationwide marketing campaign. These were up for WEEKS before Boston caught on.
I remember thinking, "What an ego Bostonians must have to think they're important enough to blow up!" NYC didn't even bother taking them down until after Boston freaked out. In contrast, LA's reaction was basically "It's not a threat so we're not sending people to take them down, and we're not charging anyone because they obviously aren't bombs."
