The whole church is filled right now with more of this "modern art". They are holding some kind of crazed "art exhibition" inside the church right now. Sometimes I wonder if the Catholic Church still exists at all when I look at the mess they made out of the beautiful Cathedreal.

Its a giant pumice stone obscuring the view of the High Altar.
You will see churches desecrated in this way all over Europe, including England. For example, in France, I've seen similar abominations set in concrete in front of beautiful French sepulchre style altars, confessionals thrown at the back and piled up like rubbish, and stupid pots of dead flowers dumped on altars in the space where the sepulchre used to be before being gouged out with a chisel.
