The Very Large Array (VLA), located 50 miles west of Socorro, New Mexico, is a collection of 27 radio telescopes each 25 meters in diameter. Data from the telescopes is combined electronically to give the resolution of a single instrument 36 kilometers (22 miles) across, with the sensitivity of a dish 130 meters (422 feet) in diameter.

I visited the VLA for the second time on Friday, October 1, 2010. This video was shot with a Canon 550D and EF 28-135mm lens (set at 28mm). It was a significant detour to visit the VLA again, but well worth it!
