anyhow matter is They, in that track, decided to make a different application
given true drifting is when there's dry track, hi grip and you have to be strong on controls and gas to hold it and SMOKE it...but after i took part to this championship, i have to say it's an interesting alternative, to do sometimes...everything happens slower and for longer...it's very funny, even if in a different way...and it's a great practice!!!
i drift too, and except the ebrake that i use sometime and some time i might get on the brake to control my speed when the apex in breaking back in. but usually i am more of a clutch kick and feint guy. you can check my video if you want driving my skyline r32. I might go to the usa we usually have a drive down there for drifting at plattsburgh!
there is not a lot of braking involved in drifting! as for the clutch i agree. i didnt know this video was made in US, i am in canada i know there is no noise law here, more in europe!
i understand all that, i always use scrap tire, even if i pass 5 set i dont care, they haven<t cost me anything.
Don't worry i know what drifting do to a car mechanicaly. I just knew there was some place in europe where there was noise law, were the people needed to drift on wet because of the noise of the tire on asphalt!
no it saves your tires, not all of us are rich to go through 3 sets of tires in a day so they wet the track to save tires, make it slippery, reduce noise and tire smoke, it's also easier on the cars (clutches, ebrake) and requires less hp
the semi wins hands down
