I Talk to the Wind
Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been
I've been here and I've been there
And I've been in between.

I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.

I'm on the outside looking inside
What do I see
Much confusion, disillusion
All around me.

You don't possess me
Don't impress me
Just upset my mind
Can't instruct me or conduct me
Just use up my time

I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear.

  • This was the first thing I ever heard of King Crimson.

Instant love. Now I own the whole discography.

  • is the wind by any chance a metaphor for god?

  • @yochay94 it could be, i imagine it could be anything you wish it to be.

  • my favorite part is at like 3:18 when the slide guitar cuts in, so relaxing and amazing.

  • @spmSLL -sorry, my neighbors cat (Mr. Klogenstroff) got a hold of my computer mouse (assuming he thinks its a real mouse) and by attacking it ended up accidently typing my previous comment, sorry for the confusion and have a nice day.

  • ...i've been here and, i've been there and, i've been in between... ;-)

  • @MightySaturn5

    dude

    what

  • a very soapy feel that overwhelms most people and all animals however its effect on plants should be noted in any stray journals or on the blank back piece of paper peeled from a can of Alpo dog food...basically its very endearing although its also akin to a "do not discard" warning typically seen on many competing brands of rice containers

  • @yochay94 I have listened to this song for forty years and never thought of it, but your observation is brilliant!

  • I have too this association between the wind and god.Just don't remember where it came from.

  • as hypnotically beautiful as the first time i heard it...

  • Greg Lake. Best voice ever!
