@boooshwa if the advertising turns soooooo many people off, please can you answer this simple question, why is youtube still getting bigger and grabbing more market share of online video.?
Do what you want. I think most people just dont like the trend. Thats what pisses me off. Once it catches on theres no stopping it from growing until people stop using youtube for videos.
@pcgod8 I agree on your thoughts. I feel the root of this problem is because the partner program has become so easy to join the sheer number of channel displaying ad;s is massive
at the start of the partner program you had to really earn your youtube stripes to pull partner and have the privileges of being connected to advertisers, now it's far too easy. i don't mind advertising if it's aligned to good quality content
youtube is not as aggressive as the news video sites, they hit you big time
@leokimvideo The point is that there is too much advertising. I know that it can't be avoided completely and I'm not saying that it should. But I am saying that the advertising needs to be toned down a bit. The average person sees 5000+ ads in a day. It's too much.
I'll bet if they could, advertisers would be running ads inside our heads. Sure it seems like far fetched sci-fi now, but if the technology ever comes along that would allow it you can bet advertisers will take advantage of it.
@pcgod8 ever thought there is products in some tube videos basically as paid placement, no matter where you go in a visual environment advertising will be there
the fact you claim to avoid products you see advertised says you engage with the ad, plenty of others will be seeded with the product and it may affect their decision in time when spending money
Pre-roll ads are just generally horrible. I've made it a point to actually avoid buying anything I see in ads like that. Word of mouth advertising is more valuable to me as a consumer because then I get the truth. No one makes ads that say anything negative about their product so why pay any attention to them at all?
But that's another debate. Frankly, it doesn't matter to me if you do the pre-rolls immediately or not. Either way, I won't buy whatever they're selling.
on pre-rolls, well most would like a return to the youtube pre advertising, as a viewer I have adjusted to the advertising on the tube.
i feel if you have a video which will flatline you should hit the pre-rolls right from the start, Mark the info you give out in your tips and tricks has value from viewer 1 to viewer 1.000.000
i think the producers of pre-roll ad's need to make advertising which is as good as the content which follows, as yet I have not really seen that
