Archos 5 opening

I have just received my Archos and I brutally open it up on film. The Archos 5 plays EVERYTHING. Search it up. EVERYTHING. This is a 250GB model with a 4.8 inch Resistive Touchscreen. I use it primarily as my music hub connected to my sony receiver. My giant rave party speakers really complement the two pieces of equipment I'm using here. It even plays Flash games BOWMAN FTW!!!!

Archos is a european company. I think it is in France.

i saw one at bestbuy for $300 i saw one online for $219 but my concern is what would be the purpose of it? it's like a omputer? you can go online? can you go aim on it?

ThaBR33D is spot on. The protected files will not fly with the Archos 5. My main use for it is to keep my growing collection of unprotected music on it. That and avi videos work flawlessly right off of your computer, as long as it isn't HD res.

Don't you think that adapter is horrendously overpriced? Why is it 100 dollars? All for the privelage of using hdmi and digital audio out.

Newly purchased 250gb archos 5's come with a plugin pack that includes the dvd format, hd 720p format, and web tv+radio right out of the box...

bought one yesterday for 1700 shekel israeli, about 460 USD but it included the DVR snap in and the mini-dock so its like the same as the American price..

no buyers remorse!

takes all protected music and takes off the protection i have all my itunes songs on my archos 5 android

also with the DVR you can record all your movies and they go right onto the archos

That's the whole point. You buy a stripped device and whatever other features you want more you pay for. Take that into account when buying one of these...
