Man.....that engine is super smooth like buttah! I'm in love with the FZ1. If you ask me, it sounds every bit as good as Triumph triple.

i don't know about all of you, but i ride for the performance. But then, my petro is cheaper in TX too im sure. Damn that sux. I'll hold on to the hope that it goes down in cost for all of you. So you can get the BEST out of riding and not be held back by fuel economy.

Lets cut to the chase. The FZ1 like so many modern bikes is ruined by mass centralisation and a fake petrol tank. With its pathetic 18L tank and appalling fuel consumption you will be lucky to get 160 miles out of a full tank. Meanwhile the FZS 600 has a real 22L tank and fuel consumption to die for and even ridden hard will get you at least 220 plus miles and typically more. Where is the fun in riding a bike where your scared to twist the throttle in case you never get where you want to go.

As great a bike as the new FZ1 is the 2002/3 FZS600 is a better bike. Trust me I know.
