Everything about this video is excellent besides the poor lighting. The black shirt behind a black gun does not work!

when performing a cleaning video of a black gun, you should be wearing a white shirt. and with better lighting

You better hope that handy Boresnake rope never breaks while you're pulling on it. You will then have your worst nightmare. It has happened before.

can i use bore cleaner to oil parts like the charging handle, buffer spring, bolt carrier and such? or is it just used for the bore?
-
So I can use gun degreaser to clean the exterior of the gun? for example: upper and lower exterior, carry handle, rails, charging handle exterior, front post, barrel exterior, and flash suppressor?

Great video!!, well done!

i didn't hear or see a few small parts cause i was distracted so i don't know if you covered this or not, sorry lol

one thing im not sure of is, do you have to clean the gas key? i heard its bad to do and i heard its good, whats your take on this matter, you seem to be more knowledgeable then the guys who told me this

@stagarmsman always clean a new gun before shooting cause the factories put a crap load of there lube so it doesn't rust up etc on dealer shelf's and its usually thick stuff, when i bought my stag i just cleaned the chamber and bore and went to go test fire it then i did a basic field strip cleaning on it.

Definitely. Really poor camera lighting and setup. Like an amateur. Seriously detracts from quality of this video.
Hey there, I am a new bushmaster AR-15 owner and I was just wondering how often should I clean my gun? I took the gun out over the weekend and fired 100 rounds. I will probably only end up shooting it on the weekends so should I clean after each use or can I wait longer? Thanks

@rayray3866 A quick wipe down,a quick cleaning of the bore and light oiling is fine. But a word of caution - the more you let build up occur, the harder it will be to clean. Also, if you don't plan to shoot your gun for some time, I would suggest a more thorough cleaning before putting it away.
