This documentary is on Storer College and its role in civil rights. Storer College was established in Charles Town, W.Va., after the Civil War to primarily serve African-Americans. In 1906, W.E.B. Dubois led the Niagara Movement to Storer College. It was the group's first meeting on American soil. The Niagara Movement led to the creation of the NAACP.
"The Cornerstone of Freemdom" was produced by Bob Wilkinson of West Virginia Public Broadcasting. It first aired March 22, 2007, on the program "Outlook."
Thank you so much for posting this. I live in Charles Town and am from this area. This is valuable information!

I would rank this film as one of the most important ever made about WV history. Hopefully all of the school children of West Virginia will get to watch this film.
