I couldn't have said better, my friend. The only reason why Twilight became popular between teenagers it's because its story catches girls right in their weak spot, which is the "teenager idealizations": being popular/intelligent/getting the guy of their dreams... Stuff like that.
The age from 12 to 17 (and sometimes further) has the common characteristic of not having their mind focused on the rotten, cruel side of reality as well, so is Twilight.

Mmm Hmm. Dracula is my shit. Twilight is a DISGRACE. Vampires who don't feed on humans and sparkle in the sun rather that get burnt the fuck up? Come one. Bram Stoker would be so pissed if he saw what people are doing to vampire lore.
