  • One simple question... You expect people to constantly check and see if someone has asked for something they can sell? It seems likely that the average user will have a disappointing experience if they are trying to use what half this service is all about. Sorry, haters gotta hate- maybe you can speak to that?

  • @SkwerlStyle we just released alerts. So sellers officially don't have to check the app constantly anymore. They get the leads delivered right to their inbox or phone.

  • Not so brilliant idea

  • That Tesla example is kinda out of range. If you can afford a Tesla, would you really care for someone that pays you $50? Regardless, Zaarly is a great idea.

  • Was there for the pitch. Congrats on the success! Goodluck in the future.

  • Class action lawsuit when a BUNCH of idiots get mugged because someone offered them a red ferrari for 3k in cash...

  • @ParanoidBroth Perhaps. I can see that feature turning into a big pot of spam- potentially worse than craigslist. Now spammers will be able to market directly to victims in a certain geo-location?

@omidood This is a public app, what makes you think the scalpers won't be on zaarly, trying to run their hustle, diluting out the legit sellers?

Overall i think this idea looks good on paper, but i'm very sceptic on how the public (and money hustlers) will use this. We shall see i guess.

  • @SkwerlStyle Perhaps users will be able to track certain keywords in Zaarly posts and be notified when one of those keywords is matched. That way, people don't have to be checking constantly.

  • It's like a chicken and and egg problem. I think if you get a large user base it will work. Targeted advertisements at big venues could get a sizeable market quick, like sponsorship or banner/advertisements at big events... right next to those scalpers.
