Oh, by the way, I left in a few surprises in the closing of this episode, hope you guys like! 'Til next time, game headz!! L8rz....

  • @gameshowluvr86 He did.

  • @zachhoran So, _that's_ Mr. Nesquik himself, eh? I didn't even know he did live action stuff also. Go figure.

  • @tyrese3745 You would be correct. LA and Chicago started their EWN broadcasts at 5PM, either because of the time zone or the boadcast schedule they used for daytime and afternoon movie programs.

  • I assume this was taped from WABC TV's Channel 7 in the tri-state area.

  • This aired April 28, 1978.

  • At what point did Dick Clark switch from Rubin Brothers International Fashions, Ltd. to Botany 500 for his wardrobe?

  • See ya tomorrow on The Bandstand! ;-)

  • In the last twelve months of "$10,000 / $20,000 Pyramid" announcer Bob Clayton's life, he missed some weeks (probably the end aftereffects of his smoking habit) and other announcers filled in. One of the "Pyramid" sub-announcers was the first "Voice of 'Eyewitness News' " (from its 1968 debut until his own death a few months before Mr. Clayton's), Scott Vincent.

  • The spacing of the type suggests possibly Vidifont as the maker . . . though the typeface is Helvetica. The same transition from one type page to another was the same as on WABC's "Eyewitness News" from about 1976 to 1978.

  • Two great ABC announcers here... Ernie Anderson, obviously, but that's Gilbert Hodges handing the end credits voiceover.

Both of them could say the words "Eyewitness News" better than almost anybody else.
