Our lake had same kind of ice few years ago.. this takes some luck, has to be cold for weeks but without snowing at all.

@TheQneb exactly.. it is only possible if one has a frosty but dry winter..

@OrangeNBlack31 this nicely maybe only twice in three winters.. normaly it would be covered with snow, so no 4 km long hockey rink then :)
