This one was super intense. The castle was truly dangerous. Not unfairly hard, but super duper hard nonetheless. I jumped everytime you had a close-call or died.
"Ok, I don't need that extra mushroom, so I can... make it so I need that extra mushroom."
And yaaay more! I'll keep checking it out, and posting on these old old videos, as if they were as fresh as the morning dew. They are to me.

@ColonelRashid Turning items off can be fun, but the only real reasons I can find for using that option are for tournaments (win by skill not luck) and for practicing (beat three level 9s without items and you can say you're a pro).
As for save states, I generally try not to use them unless I'm really having trouble or the game uses password saves (or has no saves). You'll never see me say it's bad to use them.

nice observation i wouldn't have ever caught that but i think your right

Is it just me, or did the text at 9:25 contain all the capital letters from the English version? It's even the same amount of characters in each word before a space.
You see an M, K and J for Morton Koopa Jr., a V and D for Vanilla Dome, P and T for Princess Toadstool...
Was this modded from the US version instead of the Japanese?

mecha koopas should have been that way in smw

EXCUSE ME? Just WHAT is wrong with "playing fair" in SSBB? Some people actually enjoy that, you know. For me, playing fair is fun, but playing with items is boring.
Just like Raocow here. He finds playing (normal levels, at least) without save states actually fun, but if he uses them it would just stale it. =/
Raocow, you remember you said LIMITED savestates, not savestateLESS, right? <3
Also, those mecha koopa lasers were scary. o_o

The original Kaizo actually had some pretty innovative kinds of "oh jesus christ" difficulty.
Most of its imitators are terrible though.
