Ballet in three acts for symphonic band and dancers. Act I, Scene II: The Black Serpent Curls. The complete ballet is published by RBC Publications, San Antonio, Texas. The performances presented here are in Xalapa, Veracruz and Veracruz, Veracruz (Mexico). The complete ballet is presented on YouTube as well as many other works by composer Leroy Osmon. This ballet is drawn from the painting The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch and was first conducted by Capitan Cesar Amora with the Banda Sinfonica del Gobierno del Estado of Veracruz (Ruben Flores, director at the time of performance). Funding for this was made possible, in part, by the American Music Center (NY, NY). The company performing this work is Vera-Danza (Jorge Luis Ortiz, director). Lead dancer is Jerika Brito Sosa.
