The trumpet soloist is obviously Elman. He was belonging to those musicians trying to perpetuate the glorious thirties, as I am. To the critics: Try and blow such a solo!

Not surprisingly, as it notes on the label, MGM released a movie of the same name that December [starring Esther Williams], inspired by the film that originally introduced this song, Ramon Novarro's "The Pagan" (1929). This was recorded around August of '50.
