I gave the closing keynote at the SAP for Utilities event in San Antonio, Sept., 2011. I uploaded the video to YouTube but because of some of the music, it can't be seen in some countries. I changed the music in this one.

The topic was potent social media strategies for utilities and in it I touched on social media for recruitment and retention, social media for internal communications, social media for brand enhancement and for building trust with an increasingly distrustful customer base.

I recommend strategies such as including building social media and gamification into energy management applications to increase engagement, as well as using social applications within the enterprise to attract and retain a younger workforce.

Make utilities cool and sexy places to work.

  • I hear no voice. I already started and quitted this presentation twice, but this time I was doing something else and suddenly the presentation with the musich starts. I guess you might have said something important though?

    Time elapsed: after 8 minutes the presentation stops again and again I see your mouth opening and closing. Eventually you could reduce the length of the vid?
