As I heard the legend, where ever it happened, the well armed Mulsims were given fair warning before an offensive was made on their positions. The message was that all bullets were dipped in pig's blood prior to loading, and so that nobody killed would go to Heaven. The next day, there was no resistance. At least, that's how I heard it. We should do that today!

Of the 15 or so insurgents, they killed 14, and let the last one go, so he could run off and tell all his comrades. Apparantly there wasn't an insurgency in that area for some 50 years after.
Now, I don't know if that's true or merely an urban legend, but it does make you think.

They captured them, tied them up, slaughtered a pig, dipped the bullets in the pig blood and entrails, and shot each of them, one at a time. The insurgents saw them doing this. You might say they were terrorizing the terrorists. Because their bodies were defiled with unclean pig blood, they wouldn't be going to Nirvana.

Ironically, none of that is necessary. It is very easy to end the terrorism, tho, mind you, it would be totally un-PC. Basically, it involves Muslim Kryptonite.
I heard back in the Phillipines in the 50's I believe, or earlier (I'll have to look it up), when a general (Patton type) had an Muslim insurgency.
