  • Am I the only one who finds this segment strangely calming? There's something about it, the white noise in the background coupled with the accents and the nostalgia factor (reminds me of my barber, lol) that I just find so relaxing. And then to take it and make it so dark, lol. Excellent, MST3k, excellent.

  • Gotta love Tom's delivery on "Oooooh Ooooh, they do a nice job down there. The relish tray to die for --we gotta bring the girls down there --they just love it there." like a robot has two little girls or something.

Small town barbershop gossip... with robots... in space.

Also, the joke about all 200 clowns fitting in the one car... just awful ;-p

  • Trace Beaulieu really shines in this skit. He definitely was my favorite performer in MST3K. I can't stand to see an episode without him. That's why I don't watch the Sci-Fi Channel years. I watched 'Horrors of Spider Island' and didn't really laugh at all, not knowing why until it was too late. Live and learn, I guess.

  • ah! a remake of a segment from the ktma era. only if someone could do a side by side comparison video.

  • Crow's whistling in this cracks me up.

  • Dad had to pull him out with the come-along....

  • I wonder if they sell sex toys shaped like the bots.

  • @detrius82 One of my favorite later episodes was "Agent for H.A.R.M." but I when I watch it I have to skip past the host segments. Observer, and particularly Bobo, are like a characters that may have been used for a bit in earlier episodes, but which, unfortunately, were installed as regulars. Kind of like a thin plot premise extended into a full leanghth movie or a silly joke taken way, way too far. Just one man's opinion, of course.

  • @detrius82 I mostly agree. I think, though, that they probably did the best they could with the changes in cast and network demands that took place. Personally, I think the quality of the writing for the movie segments remained excellent, but that the storyline (one was demanded by the sci-fi channel, apparently) spun around the Bobo, Pearl, Observer characters intruded tiresomely on what was originally meant to be a vehicle for jokes (Forrester & Frank, Joel & the Bots)

  • gasoline and clown white everywhere

  • This show has special significance for people from Minnesota/Wisconsin. So many jokes that are only relative to us! n yes thises bout d waey some peepl tak up ere y'know.
