This is one of my favourite songs sung by Evie Tornquist (1976)
Here are the lyrics:

It only takes a spark,
To get a fire going.
And soon all those around,
Can warm up it it's glowing.

Chorus:
That's how it is with God's love,
Once you've experienced it,
It's fresh like spring,
You want to sing,
You want to pass it on.

Verse 2
What a wondrous time is Spring
When all the trees are budding.
The birds begin to sing,
the flowers start their blooming.

Chorus:

Verse 3
I wish for you my friend
this happiness that I've found
You can depend on him
It matters not where your bound.

Last chorus:
I'll shout it from the mountain tops
I want the world to know
The Lord of Life has come to me
I want to pass it on.

  • What a cool song STILL! :)

  • Evie sang this song at the Billy Graham Crusade - held in Seattle, Washington during May, 1976. This was only about two months after the newly built, fully enclosed Kingdome sports stadium officially opened.

Evie was nineteen years old when she sang "Pass It On" at the King's Dome.

  • Thank you - I was preparing on a children's message that summed up with passing God's love on. This song was running in my head and I wanted to hear the words - so i came looking.

Beautiful sound - wonderful expression - great message.

  • What a beautiful, radiant person! So glad I first heard her music as a child. Now I'm thrilled to rediscover it on YouTube. Brings back memories...

  • Great job! And a few extra points for being so cute! :)

  • I just learned to sing this song during church worship this Sunday. Didn't know this song was such an old classic... I was born in 1976 =P ... and this performance was in 1976!
