Installed a wired back up camera to my Magellan Roadmate 9055-LM. You can also hook it up to a roadmate 1700. You can find any backup camera online and thru ebay and those will usually have a video cable. Then you buy a composite video cable (red, white, yellow) and connect it to that.

People complain about the video feed for this GPS unit and it gets a lot of negative reviews cause of that. Reason for that is cause basically it was designed wrong and you end up having to modify the video cable in order to get the video signal to work properly.

Here's the steps for the cable:

1. What I had to do was take my video cable and use the RED (not yellow) and cut the wire in half.

2. Strip off the black outer coating and red inner coating thus exposing the wires.

3. Take the ground wire (outer layer) from one end and group it with the signal wire (inner wire) of the other end and vice versa.

4. Tape it up with electrical tape and make sure those wires don't touch each other.

Don't ask me how and why this works, it just did. LOL.
