original composition scored for full orchestra on SIBILIUS 5.Powered by Emu Virtuoso 2000.Inspired by my trip to Milford Sound .The piece describes a small boat ride into the the big seas of the Tasman whilst gazing up at Mitre Peak which is New Zealands number one beauty spot. This is not intended as the finished mix. This has been transcribed plus individual parts and awaits a reading

  • This is truly remarkable..and the best testimony of the capabilites of the Emu Virtuoso I've ever heard. Well done! Cheers!

  • @Cratinus Wow thanks. I can make it sound heaps better. I have just been concentrating on writing my score and parts. Hoping to get it played by the real thing.

  • this sounds great, post some more, i have a emu virtuoso they are great. this is the best example of its greatness i have heard. you need to get this out there man, lovely music. keep going. grant greenham.

  • @rphcomposer Heaps better? I think it sounds pretty impressive as is. ALL Emu Virtuoso 2000? If so..it is proof positve that $1000 orchestral libraries DO NOT a composer make. Good luck with your compositions! Cheers!

  • Excellent post-romantic/impressionist/maximalist/cinematic score. Why hasn't APO or NZSO taken a crack at it yet?

  • Emu is great stuff. Still... despite that it's some 20 years old and only 16 bit, they still continue to play a vital roll for certain sound banks.

Wonderful work here, sir! Sorry to see that you did not post more of your works like this, as this was the only one I could find. Be sure to catch my comments on your home channel as well.

I sure hope you are going to get around to posting more of your symphonies for full orchestra soon.

    James

  • Beautiful and dramatic. Very evocative with great dynamics.
