@K2Carbides i find they also make knives easier to sharpen because you can fit a stone to the very end of the edge and it will not hit the guard

@ARCustomKnives i always make things dramatic and unnecessary lol it to me 30 min till i got made and pulled ot the power tools

@K2Carbides The notch is for design/aesthetics as much as anything really, but it was inspired by the "spanish notch" which was used to grab an opponents blade and twist/break it from their hand.

@captjeff78 I have stainless sheet stock for liners, but I like carbon steel for the blades right now. As for the M-Cam, unfortunately it was just a bit too narrow for this handle design, so I'm gonna use some green canvas micarta instead.

hey! good to see you back in the shop! i thought u were buying some stainless for your slipjoints? at least the liners right?
i just got my first M Cam scales the other day, i havent had a chance to use them yet, but very soon!!
how do u open your steel package i use a reciprocal saw

I'd like to see how you did the grind on the military type knife. Have a jig?

@WesMerc The grinds on that knife (as are nearly all of my knives) were done free hand. Though I've made one or two jigs in the past, I find that I usually do better without them.
