Guests: David Talbott, Wallace Thornhill, Greg Hunter
Comets & Electric Universe:
On Wednesday's show, comparative mythologist Dave Talbott and physicist Wallace Thornhill discussed the theory that Venus was a captured comet, as well as the electrical nature of the universe. Influenced by the work of Velikovsky, Thornhill posited that once Venus came through our solar system as a comet, the exchange of electrical charges modified gravitational forces between bodies in the solar system, allowing Venus to achieve a stable orbit fairly quickly. "Gravity is an electrical force between neutral atoms," he added.
Talbott has studied ancient accounts of catastrophe, and made connections to "plasma science." Venus was the great doomsday comet depicted in early cultures, "a frightful form in the sky" that was "Earth threatening" and discharging to a spectacular level, he detailed. Thornhill estimated this cataclysm took place 10,000- 12,000 years ago, at the end of the Ice Age.
The ancients witnessed massive thunderbolts (described as warrior gods' weapons), which Talbott explained were due to a closer planetary configuration with "plasma discharge formations...between these planets [which] gave the form to the cosmic thunderbolt." Mainstream science doesn't recognize such electrical theories of the universe, because it would shake up too much of their standard ideology, he continued. Talbott also spoke of the mythic age of Saturn-- the original sun god, which he believes at one time appeared immense in the sky.
Return to Gold Standard:
First hour guest, investigative reporter Greg Hunter offered commentary on a move to return to the gold standard to back the US dollar. Steve Forbes has come out in favor of this, he noted, as concerns about inflation and US debt grow. Further, we'll see the price of gold continue to rise, Hunter predicted.
@ThePapabear27 it's not as simple as that. If that were the case then we all would be just 'because' waiting to get saved by some being. Each person has a 'life' to live, and getting water put on your head by some man who wears a robe does not 'save' you from anything. lol. That's so ridiculous. We are born here for a reason, we all have lives to live. Being christian or any other organized religion, which as i understood went AGAINST what Jesus tried to teach...doesn't mean SQUAT.

@ThePapabear27 I misunderstood your first post, now that you've explained it, it makes much more sense.
Cheers

@opsmon I was more pointing out the inconsistencies in Christianity. It's these contradictions that have turned me away from organized religion. Personally I believe in panspermia, that the building blocks of life were preformed at the big bang. I also believe that it has been shown that at least part of the ancient astronaut theory is correct. That being said, I don't think one civilization on one planet has it 100% right. I still feel there is a higher power, just not the way it's taught.

@ThePapabear27 @ThePapabear27 I think part of the problem is your view on god and religion. If the world to end via some sort of cataclysmic event it won't be god that had a hand in it, it will be nature just going through it's cyclical motion and nothing more. So to ask why god is doing this even to none believers is your own statement and view...to others, it is what it is...BTW, the end date of May 21 is from a fruitcake who is looking for fame and fortune.

@ThePapabear27 probably needs donations for a few more billboards. All this nonsense just further damages their credibility. And everyone in the business of bs knows you never give specifics.

@DGoose33 I also find it humorous that on the pamphlet this guy gave to george noory, it had a spot where you could sign up to donate money to them on a monthly basis.

@ThePapabear27 bible-thumpers tend not to acknowledge the myriad of contradictions in the book. An omniscient god could not create a person with free choice, because he of coarse knows the outcome of every creation, so he'd be creating humans just to damn them. Anyway there's an infinite number of issues with the May 21st doomsday, there's no mention of the date in the bible, it's just a date one nut job came up with after his 1994 doomsday never happened.

First, let me thank you for uploading these c2c shows, i'm working during the show and can't listen. I have an issue with this May 21 doomsday thing, and i gotta get it off my chest. If God made everything and loves us all, and Jesus is our savior and all that. How can God kill and pass judgement against the millions of people who, through no fault of their own, have never heard of Christianity, had the chance to baptized or saved? If's he's supposed to be all loving, that doesn't seem very nice.
