A rare clip from the Shining Time Station Christmas Special, in which Ringo Starr as Mr. Conductor performs some of the famous "Lumberjack song" from Monty Python.

Just be glad he didn't sing the WHOLE song, would have been interesting to see a 12inch tall Ringo sing about transvestism on a children's show though. heheh

Special Thanks to Tim "Sodor18" Darby for supplying the clip

  • the song really goes "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OKAY" not "all right"

  • "the song really goes "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OKAY" not "all right""

Maybe they changed it a little because of copyright...

  • I used to have this special on VHS, but I have no idea what happened to the tape. Hearing Mr. Conductor sing the Lumberjack Song made me laugh.

  • I have this episode on video tape still.

  • @WhiteJarrah That, and allusions to cross dressing. :D

  • This is what made kids shows in the 80s and 90s great. The kids actually learned something without some slimy special interest group getting involved in indoctrinate them, and there were references that only the parents got, which meant that you could watch TV with your kids without losing your mind. Kids shows today are all about self-interest, like saving the planet. It was bad enough when McDonalds indoctrinated kids and got them eating fast food. This was the good old days of kids TV.

  • I guess he doesn't put on women's clothing or hang around in bars.

  • I sleep all night and I work all day.

  • Long Live Ringo Starr.
