July 2008! his homegoing service was a great one, some gospel legends were there.

Also, I forgot to mention, Bobo would have been 73, Aug 12th. We had the opposite b-day. He was the 12th and I'm Aug 21th. The article that stated he was 77 was incorrect.

This was one of Rev James Cleveland best friend, he was one the early pioneers of choirs hailing from Nutley NJ,

***Gospel History***
In the early 60's needing to do more recordings to fullfill his record contract, Rev. Cleveland, Thurston Frazier,and Billy Preston drove from California to Nutley NJ. Songs like "Christ is the answer" "Stood on the Banks" and Peace be Still and many others were recorded with the Angelic Choir at the First Baptist Church in Nutley NJ. The Rev Lawrence Roberts was pastor.
