@easlerkerryn My mother NEVER talked to me about sex. Thankfully I was a self sufficient learner and when I was 9 I read about sex in a medical book we had and that's how I learned you could get AIDs from it, and when I was 12 I also read about it in magazines, the statistics, the abuse survivor stories, etc., and when I was 13 I found out the rest online, and I'm still a virgin. But for my parents not getting into that, they would've never condoned me doing it as a teenager either

I wish I had the sex talk with my parents. If they would have taught me, I would've waited until I was ready because I would've known if they educated me about it.

Okay I have an issue with parents giving their children choices with birth control once there having sex. It's okay to give them info for the furture but if you know that your kid is having sex give them birth control that last several years like imlpanon 3yrs or IUD 5 yrs.If your child can even do basic chores how do you expect for them to be sexually responsible.Condoms lol most of the time we risk having unprotected sex even as adults be realistic. Risk dont scare kids parents take charge.
