RC airplane model with camera modul - monitor controlled

Video clips taken from a camera modul of an RC pusher model airplane and transmitted down to the ground via a video transmitting system. The model itself is controlled from the RC pilot according to the view on a video screen fed from the video signal of the model. The location is near Munich in southern Germany. Lay back, listen to the Music and dream.

It would be really cool if you can control the plane with a distance of 5 km and the video broadcast can reach up to 5 km. you could go places with this!! is that even possible? for a civillian to do it ofcourse

Hello Mark, here in Germany there is an output power of 10mW only allowed, so the distance I can fly away is up to about 800m only (with a little more power I use). The transmitting output power for the radio control system is limited aswell. So I am forced to fly near to me. Cheers Hartmut

haha nice, im impressed. How far away from the transmitter can you fly? is there any video/realtime delay when u go further away?

Hallo, there is no delay at all. The distance I'm flying is not more than 700 meter due to the equipment I'm using (25 mW), and as far as I can see the Modell if the transmission fails. Cheers Hartmut

Hello Marcin, the top speed indicated was 222 km/h during a very steep dive, which can be seen in the video and in the graphic, I guess. Cheers Hartmut
