His wife, Dahlia, will receive the "Hero at Home" award at the foundation's Eighth Annual Night of Heroes Gala on May 24 in Washington, D.C. You two are my hero as well has my husband's. We both really looked up to you guys. Years later, after he passed, I attended the EBV-F program and saw a picture of the two of you on your wedding day. It made me cry. As another commenter said, it restores my faith in humanity. Your strength as a couple and as individuals is something to be proud of. You two are beautiful and amazing and will always be heroes in my book. She has my vote, hands down.
