I do look at my dashboard, but I had NEVER once used my foglights in my car, so I didn't even notice the light. The officer believed me, but I still got a fine regardless

@racer17551 Well I can't speak for everyone else but I tend to notice what the dashboard is telling me and what the car is doing, so that tends to minimise the chances of me making the "mistake" of leaving my fog lights on....

If I went through a red light It would obviously be my own fault, BUT this was a mistake. Of course based on the responses a lot of you can't get your head round some of us making a mistake. It's almost as if the replies are from perfectionists who don't make errors on the road. I must be human then.
