  • The most hackney horses are such a more littler :O

Well, my hackney is little xD

  • @rimeike . If you are thinking of the Hackney Pony, you are correct. The Hackney Pony is a pony, under 14-2 hands tall. The Hackney Horse often grows over 16 hands tall. This stallion is 15-3+, with get taller and shorter than him.

  • he is very impressive i like his movement. would he cross well? My mare has similar paces to him sort of. when you trot her up her gait is very like a hackneys so i figured maybe i could cross her with one? and make a statement x

  • @61emilybyrne The Hackney Horse tends to be a very good choice for cross-breeding if you prefer a horse that will move with freedom and flexibility. Canadance has a history of passing on that free, expressive movement, plus tight, correct conformation to remain sound during a variety of activities. He also tends to pass on his long, upright neck and clear throatlatch. But best of all, his kids have his fun, gentle temperament.

  • i was told hackney's couldn't canter that much ?

  • @Deembolicious Hackney Horses have 3 regular gaits - walk, trot, and canter.

Like all breeds, some HHs trot better than canter. Others have a canter that is stellar.

There is more MISinformation "out there" about the Hackney Horse than accurate information.

Thank you for asking because that lets us undo the misunderstandings. :-)

  • what a beautiful stallion. ^^

  • @panachehackneys thank you for the information. i hope to go there and visit your farm next year. be care and thanks again.

  • Thank you, Tono, for your kind thoughts. Right now we don't have any colts for sale by this stallion, Canadance. However, we are expecting 2 of his foals in the summer of 2011, and one or both may be colts.

We do have one yearling daughter for say, however. she is 15 months old, black, with a star and 4 socks.

I don't have photos up yet, but I will soon be posting a video of her on Youtube.

    Watch for "Panache DancinGem" soon.
