H1N1 Committee Hearing Oct 21, 2009 Pt. 1

Kathleen Sibelius From HHS answering questions about the H1N1. As I watch this hearing I am amazed at what qualifies for Science. I've been following this situation since spring of 09 in my research I have found the data available from CDC, FDA and the Dept of Health fails to note that these vaccines are untested experimental drugs from private companies. The talking points they are using to answer questions about safety is to say: "These vaccines are being produced the same way as the seasonal flu vaccine" Is that really an acceptable answer? I don't think so.
I'm still confused as to their numbers because in the spring they announced they were no longer testing people unless they are hospitalized or die from H1N1.

The main talking point is this
"vaccinate, vaccinate vaccinate!
They haven't sited one study as to the safety of these vaccines. They freely admit that these shots are experimental and site the Pandemic status allowing for experimental vaccines coming to market.

During questioning Sen. McCaskill asked about the "scumbags" who are offering alternative "fake" cures for the Flu and how can we make an example of these people. Sec of Homeland Security Napolitano outlined their plans about extra border patrol survellance {yeah right!} and focusing on making sure these people are caught. Sen McCaskill suggested parading these "scumbags" in front of televisions across the country to discourage this alternative {fake} treatments for H1N1. Look for Vitamin D and Silver as well as Selenium to be featured on America's most wanted in the near future.
In earlier questioning the Sec. admitted they are not doing anything over and above normal measures of monitoring people coming over the border for H1N1. I sure feel safer don't you?

** In an unrelated story Sen Grassley has come out in opposition to new web based initiative sponsored by HHS {paid for by taxpayers} where people can send a form letter in support of the presidents Health care reform. The Hatch Act makes this a violation by using propaganda and asking for personal information and takes no feedback at all in opposing opinions.

haha! glad you asked... It's a boil, you can tell because her eye is all baggy from the drain. Guess she doesn't wash her hands so well as she should and got an infection. Gross! No wonder she's been laying low lately.

You folks do know that the vaccine is being produced by PRIVATE companies, don't you?

If we had already had universal health care then this wouldn't be as much of a problem. Everyone would have felt free to go to the doctor.

The schools should also have held off on opening until the vaccine was available. That way it wouldn't have spread so much.

The vaccine is as safe as the usual seasonal vaccine, with nothing unusual in it, so telling people to not get it is irresponsible.

Yeah I did a little reading up on the WaPo about it. Poor Kathleen... Oh well at least she didn't have her skull bashed in and her brains sucked out before being thrown in a dumpster.
