I learned this knot by accident while coiling up rope in a hurry. It's not a trick, it really does work.

  • I have been trying to do this for agers - it is annoying because sometimes I do it sometimes it works whilst other times it doesnt! Like the ring on rope!

  • I know what you mean. I usually have to try a few times before I hit it, but when I do, I can usually hit it the next 4 or 5 times in a row. I'm still trying to fiqure out how to get more consistent results. This was an original knot that I came up with by accident, however there is another one handed knot which you launch the rope and grab it near the middle and let it make a knot. I found that on youtube and have had real good results with that one but I don't like it as much.

  • Puaaaaaaahahahahaaa a comedian and a poet too ? please share more videos, enlightened the world with your special skill,my dear man.Can you show me how to pick up a gal like hottie dottie ? ;)

  • Yeah, well Dottie also says I'm a dork and a bit wierd. Thats ok, it's better than being a used diaper salesman.

  • dan you are one knotty man ;)

  • Why thank you very much. Knotty is my middle name. I'm knot only knotty but my wife Dottie who is a hottie with a nice body and knows karate, says that I'm very naughty, but knot John Gotti naughty, but more like Huge Hefner on a Ducati naughty. Well I have to go to the potty before I make a little spotty. bye

  • I learned a trick like this when I was young only instead of chopping you just let the string kind of fall over your hand so it ties itself. It takes practice though...

  • That is the best trick i've ever seen other then what penn and teller have done haha but this one i can acually do!!!! Thanks Dan!

  • i would like to chance video´s i am german i try this job olso standard4711@yahoo.de

  • Another great "simple" yet "difficult trick! My son has been practicing this one...he can almost get it! I am worthless at it, however! Do you have any more tricks you could post?

  • Thanks - I have been trying to learn this and cannot find it anywhere, even searching on Aldo Colombini or Daryls Ropes DVD etc I cannot find it!
